"I had the opportunity to get out and play at a little course in Ajax, Ontario called Hawthorne Valley Golf Course over the weekend.
It’s an executive course (par 3’s & 4’s) and I have to say that for 20 bucks
on a weekend for nine holes, you are not going to find a better deal. I was out
playing with my wife in her family tournament that they have every year and I
have to say that this little course is in incredible shape. The greens were true
and gorgeous, the fairways were lush and the overall atmosphere is just
outstanding. It is run by a man named Richard Wagner and he does a great
job.
This course may not be for everybody but if you have a
couple of hours and want to get in nine holes before dark this is the place to
go. My wife, who doesn’t play hardly at all, had a blast, even with having to
walk the course (they don’t have power carts, and frankly you don’t need them).
You can find the course at 3470 Salem Road in Ajax, just south of Highway 7.
I
promise you won’t be disappointed with this little course, especially in the
fall. Gorgeous."
